Stitch Fix is an online styling service that offers members the expertise of a personal stylist to help update their wardrobe. To sign up for a Stitch Fix, you fill out a personal style profile that includes your sizing, style preferences, and clothing budget. Once your profile is complete, a stylist will send 5 pieces of clothing or accessories to your home for you to try out. You are able to keep the items for 3 days and try them out with your clothes, shoes, and accessories before making your final decision. Also, Stitch Fix sends you a styling card with each item depicting how to wear each item two ways: casually or dressed up.
You may notice that I skipped Stitch Fix #8 on my blog. I returned this entire box due to fit and quality issues with items. I was unable to photograph the items for review due to a loss in our family. When I returned the items, I was very honest in my reviews and expressed specific reasons why I was disappointed with my the box. Through this experience, I was able to see what great customer service the Stitch Fix team provides. They emailed me an apology for missing the mark that addressed the concerns I mentioned specifically. I can honestly say that Stitch Fix does take time to listen to your concerns and has really started sending me items that are more my style.
For box #9, I was styled by the amazing and talented Sara! If I did not know better, I would think Sara had peeped into my closet and sent me a fix that helped me style some items I loved, but just was not sure how to wear. I really could have given her a big hug if she had been here when I opened this box! I still smile just thinking about how happy this Fix made me. This was my favorite box so far and I’m so excited to share it with all of you!
1) Skies are Blue Dolen Lace Blouse in Cobalt ($54)
This blouse was the perfect color! I also love the lace detail in the sleeves. I paired it with my hot pink J. Crew cropped pant, Cole Haan flats, and the Hot Pink Eye Candy Necklace by Stella & Dot. I have been looking for the perfect outfit to wear with these flats since I purchased them 2 summers ago! Cheers to Sara for sending this great blouse my way! Verdict: KEPT!
2) Margaret M Emer Printed Cropped Straight Leg Pant ($98)
I did not know that there were pants that feel like a yoga pant, but look perfectly professional for the office until I put on these adorable cropped pants. They have no buttons or zippers, but are the perfect fit. I’ve already received lots of compliments when I wore them to work. I love the pattern and how they are really versatile and can be paired with almost any solid top. They look stunning with my Daniel Rainn Blouse, Aldo flats, and Kate Spade bracelet. I want more of these pants! Verdict: KEPT!
3) 41 Hawthorn Neilson Halter Blouse ($54)
Sara sent me this halter to pair with the Margaret M cropped pants and a blazer. I decided against the combo because I wanted a little bit more rear coverage with the pants due to the tight fit. Also, I do not have the right blazer to tie the look together. However, I like how Sara sent me such a cohesive fix and appreciate that she spent time styling each item on my card. This item was a good basic. I think it would work well under a jacket or cardigan, but it is also kind of sporty and fun on its own with DL1961 Hillary Skinny Jeans, Kate Spade earrings, and Payless heels. Verdict: KEPT!
4) Pixley Jakobe Chevron Print Maxi Dress ($78)
5) Romolo Starla Ornate Collar Necklace ($44)
I saved the best for last this time! Sara created my best Stitch Fix outfit ever when she sent this combination! I LOVE this dress and necklace! A great bonus was that I had the perfect mint cardigan to convert this into a work look. I have received more compliments on this dress than any of my other Stitch Fix pieces. I love how it is such a fun spring look and is perfect for work and play. I live in maxi dresses in the summer and know this one will get lots of wear! Verdict: KEPT X 2!
My stylist, Sara, did a wonderful job with this fix and I decided to keep the whole box! I was giddy with excitement over this box! I have convinced a few co-workers to try Stitch Fix and we often show each other the contents of our boxes. This box was so great that it convinced another co-worker to take the plunge and she was very pleased with her first Stitch Fix too!
