This month, I set out with the Stitch Fix goal of building up my Fall wardrobe basics to get ready for cooler months. I gave my stylist, Sara, a long list of items to choose from for my box and she did an amazing job choosing Fall staples.
My wish list this time included:
- Black Emers or black bootcut pants for work
- Long sleeve black and white striped shirt or sweater that is a longer length
- Long sweater to layer over leggings
- Plaid Emers
- Olive cargo vest
- Lace details
- Cozy cardigans
- Basic tees
This list is a little too long to accommodate with one box, so I told Sara to do the choosing based on inventory. I knew I would not be able to get a box will all of these, but open requests give Sara flexibility and leave me room for surprises! Sara created a fantastic box for me and I am so excited to share it with you!
Margaret M Logan Bootcut Pant $98
These black bootcut pants definitely meet one of my requests! I have been looking for the perfect black pants for a few months with no luck, so finally I turned my dilemma over to Stitch Fix. I did not realize Margaret M made bootcut pants. I knew from the moment these shipped that if they were the correct length, they would end up in my closet!
I paired these with my gold Tieks and an Anthropolgie top. This would be a perfect option for a day at the office.
I also wanted to show you a close up of the details on the Logan. While these are still a pull-on pant like the Emer, they have belt loops and faux pockets to make them look more like trousers. I love these little touches that make them even more office appropriate! KEPT!
RD Style Mondavi Side Slit V-Neck Pullover Sweater $68
This is the perfect long sweater to layer over leggings. I love the side slits and the fact that this is slimming, but not form fitting. I think it has great versatility.
I styled this with Genetic denim, gold Tieks, a Gorjana bracelet and a leopard print scarf. This is a great casual Fall outfit.
This shirt can also be dressed up for a date night with Lysse leather leggings, Payless Comfort Plus black pumps, and Gorjana jewelry. This shirt is a much needed closet staple and definitely a keeper! KEPT!
Daniel Rainn Conyn Lace Detail Blouse $68
This shirt meets my request for lace details with the pretty lace inset on the shoulder. I also like the bird print on the fabric.
The neckline is not my favorite detail and the print on this shirt is a little too similar to another shirt in my closet. This is a cute top, but not one that excites me. RETURNED!
Patrons of Peace Silverman Bell Sleeve Tunic $58
When I saw this piece was coming my way, I thought the style was beautiful! When I tried this on, I adored the carefully placed lace details and knew it would be perfect over leggings or skinny jeans with boots.
I styled this more casually with Jeffrey Campbell Taggart booties and Kut from the Kloth Katherine boyfriend jeans.
This top has pretty lace details on the front and the back. However, burnt orange is not really a great color for my complexion. I have cool undertones, and as you can see, warmer colors wash me out. I was happy to discover that this beautiful tunic is also available in burgundy (a jewel tone that will brighten my complexion!). RETURNED, but purchased a similar style online in a different color.
Market & Spruce Mabel Button Detail Striped Pullover $68
I asked for a long black and white striped shirt or sweater and this met the request. I think the silver buttons are a cute detail and I’m always a sucker for stripes.
However, I prefer a looser fit on my clothing and this was a more fitted top. When I went into the Stitch Fix app after this Fix to change my preferences, I realized that I’d accidentally selected that I like fitted tops…oops! RETURNED!
Overall, this was a wonderful box! I had a great time trying the items Sara picked and ended up with 3 new items for Fall! The accuracy of Stitch Fix can be impressive.
