It is hard to believe I’ve received over thirty Stitch Fix boxes! When I started this service a few years ago, I did not know what to expect, but I’ve grown to love having a stylist send me fixes and the fun it brings into my life. Fix #31 is big on fun! Sara picked some wonderful items for me to try and I cannot wait to share them with you!
For this fix, I requested a kimono and bright colors. Sara delivered both!
Pixley Porizkova Fringe Burnout Kimono $78
It is hot here in Wilmington, so I styled this lovely kimono with a cream Theory tank, Seven Jeans shorts, Seychelles gladiator sandals, and a beautiful Anthropologie Luciana Tassel Necklace for effortless summer style.
I wanted to show you a close-up of the burnout detail on the sleeves, which Sara says sold her on this kimono.
Sara worried the fringe was a little outside my comfort zone and she was correct. When I saw this was coming on my app, I was a little uncertain. I worried that this piece would not have much versatility.
I created a fall music festival look with this kimono with a black Splendid tank, black Paige jeans, and black Toms booties. I think this is a piece that could be worn in multiple seasons for fun events. I’m not sure I will wear it often, but it is so beautiful that when I do pull out this kimono, I will be excited and feel fashionable! KEPT!
Daniel Rainn Rosana Lace Detail Peasant Top $88
Sara sent this beautiful Daniel Rainn blouse from my pins. When my mom saw it, she commented it may be one of her favorites of the Stitch Fix items I’ve received (and there are LOTS of those)!
Sara suggested styling this with gladiator sandals and cutoff shorts for a fun weekend look! This would be so cute for a day of shopping or a road trip!
This top was on my radar because I thought it would look perfect with the light blue Emers I’d received in a previous fix! I like the length of the shirt to go with these fitted pants. The crochet details and the light blue together create a feminine look. I just slipped on my Nine West nude flats and was ready to go!
This shot highlights how pretty the crossover back detail looks on this top. I put a white Splendid tank underneath for modesty. KEPT!
Octavia Brooks Crossbody Bag $58
I had the Octavia Brooks crossbody bag on my Pinterest board in hot pink because I love bright colors. Sara sent the bag in blue instead and I think it was a better choice. This blue is the perfect neutral and goes with most of my summer looks.
It is also nice that the bottom can zip and unzip to modify the size of the purse depending on how much you have to carry! KEPT!
Brixon Ivy Walton Henley Blouse $48
When I looked in the app and saw that this blouse was coming, I was unsure if I would like the colors. When it arrived, I thought the color combination was beautiful and it was easily a favorite item in my box.
This blouse is soft and feminine. It looks nice with my DL1961 Hillary Ankle zip jeans from previous fixes and a pair of Seychelles wedges.
The beautiful details even continue onto the back of this blouse. Sadly, this shirt had a hole in the front and the fabric was fraying. It could not be repaired and customer service could not provide an exchange. I was bummed to return this piece! RETURNED!
Margaret M Emer Printed Straight Leg Pant $98
In this fix, I received a pair of multicolor Emers I’d seen on Pinterest. I must confess that I was not excited about these due to the color combination, but they looked much nicer in person. I was able to pair them with my 41 Hawthorn blouse from a previous fix. I liked that they looked nice with this top, since I do not get as much wear from it as I would prefer. I do wish I had received a full length pair of these, but they are more of a summer pant anyways due to the color.
My husband liked the pants better with a white top, so I paired them with the Daniel Rainn from my box.
Since I had a damaged item that could not be replaced, Stitch Fix extended the 25% discount to this box. It made sense to keep these pants due to the discount, but I would not have splurged on them for full price. KEPT!
