I had high hopes for getting a blog post up in early February, but I let the month slip away from me. I decided that with my March box already being styled, a double post might be in order for my two lovely February boxes. If you are new to Stitch Fix, check out the paragraph below. If not, feel free to skip to the reviews.
Stitch Fix is an online personal styling service. It is a great way for the busy woman to get fun, stylish clothes delivered to her door each month. To get started, you fill out a personal style survey on their website. It is also helpful to create a Pinterest board with items that you would normally wear or would love to add to your closet. Each month, a stylist will send you five pieces of clothing and accessories for a $20 styling fee. You can try the items on in your own home and see how well they incorporate in your closet. If you keep an item, your $20 styling fee acts as a credit towards your purchase AND if your stylist send you and AMAZING box and you keep it all, you get a 25% discount! I have been doing stitch fix for almost a year. I love the surprise of getting clothing delivered to my door and when I do not like an item, I just slip it into the prepaid mailing envelope and send it back.
Boxes #23 and #24 are quite different. One is a winter box and the other begins the transition into Spring. These were both great boxes and lowering my price points resulted in me receiving much better items than I received in box #22. I never doubted my amazing stylist, Sara, because I have seen her work for many fixes and know she is attentive and talented. I appreciate her desire to bring me great fixes and her willingness to accept honest feedback on items.
For box #23 I did not make any specific requests. I am transitioning to a more casual wardrobe and want to add fun pieces for date nights downtown.
Octavia Altura Cable Knit Infinity Scarf in Mint $34
Sometimes I think Sara reads my mind. We were both drawn to mint this month. She sent me this beautiful mint infinity scarf that perfectly matched the Margaret Elizabeth earrings I’d ordered a few days prior.
I had planned on saving the earrings for Spring, but when I saw this scarf I was able to wear them out to dinner with it and my navy stripe Pop Basic tee. KEPT!
Brookline Mix Material Sweater in Off-White $74
I had pinned this sweater on my Pinterest board in a deep green and was a little disappointed at first to get the cream color. Sara said in this fix that she was building up some basics for me and I think that she made the right choice sending this sweater. I have worn it numerous times since it arrived and the cream is much more versatile than the green. My husband talked me into the color and I love the back zipper detail. I wear this casually with jeans and dress it up for work with my Level 99 sueded pants from Fix #20. I am so glad I KEPT this sweater and I apologize to Sara for doubting the color choice. It was exactly the color I needed.
Mavi Gold Freida Skinny Jean $128
Sara told me that she noticed I did not have any jeans in a lighter wash from my blog posts and I’m so glad she picked up on the gap in my wardrobe. I have worn these jeans constantly since they arrived and am surprised that I did not realized a lighter wash jean was missing from my life! You know you have a great stylist when she can find gaps in your wardrobe you did not even see. Not only are these jeans versatile, but they stay put and do not stretch and sag with wear. That alone is a pretty amazing find in a skinny jean! They are also styled above with the Market & Spruce sweater. KEPT!
Papermoon Benito Woven Back Knit Top $54
This is a cute casual top and the fit and shoulder detail are flattering. I styled it simply with the Mavi Jeans, red Toms, and my navy cushion cut Margaret Elizabeth earrings. However, I just cannot get used to the pattern. I feel an aversion to the design on this shirt and only KEPT it for the discount.
Colette Chavez Pop Color Cuff Knit Top $54
This is an item from my Pinterest board and such a nice basic with a fun pop of color on the sleeves. I love pairing it with jeans and a fun statement necklace. For this look, I tried it with my Aldo booties, Lysse faux leather leggings, and Stella and Dot necklace.
The Chelsea28 blazer can make the look a bit more formal. KEPT!
Stitch Fix #24 had more bright, happy colors and gave me a case of Spring fever. This fix was very much my style and it completely made my week! It was also the first fix where I received shoes and a head to toe look from my amazing stylist, Sara. In this fix, I asked Sara for items that could be packed on our trip to Savannah, GA in early March for Savannah Stopover that I could wear for shopping and exploring during the day and to concerts at night.
Ark n Co Pira Drape Blazer in Blue $78
This was a much coveted and twice pinned item from my Pinterest board and I was over the moon when I saw that Sara had included it in my box. I completely adore this blazer and think it will be perfect for work or play.
Since it is part of my vacation fix, I created a casual look with Genetic denim, an Elizabeth & Clarke tee, red Toms, and the Kendra Scott Cami necklace from Rocksbox. (Get a free month of Rocksbox with my code: APRILBFF102.) KEPT!
Le Lis Flit Crochet Trim Top in Navy $48
This top was another item from my Pinterest and will be perfect for work paired with my BetaBrand pants. Although I’m spending fewer days in the office now, I still like to get a few items in my fixes that look nice at work and this shirt has already made its first of many trips to the office. KEPT!
Pixley Waldorf Lasercut Hem Blouse in Cobalt $54
This blouse was the one thing I could not find when I peeked after my Fix shipped. I was so excited to see it in person because it is lovely and the perfect combination of feminine and edgy. After I tried it on, I could not stop thinking about the detailing.
I can see this transitioning easily from daytime shopping to concerts in the evening. One word of caution is that the cutouts will show your tummy if you raise your arms. I layered this top over a tank to keep it modest and paired it with my black Kendra Scott Rayne necklace. Of course, I KEPT it!
DL1961 Cherise Skinny Jean in Black $178
I have been looking for black skinnies for several months and decided to see if Sara could find a pair since I was having no luck. She sent this pair of skinny ankle jeans and at first I was a little unsure about the length. I tried them on a few times and ultimately decided to take the plunge. They look great with my booties and the shorter length will help them transition into Spring, which is just around the corner. I paired these with a top from Nordstrom, black Aldo booties, and my Kendra Scott Rayne and Cami necklaces. I think this is a fun, seasonally appropriate look for the jeans. KEPT!
This is just a close-up of the necklaces. 🙂
BC Footwear Society D’Orsay Flats in Black $60
Sara has been trying to send shoes and this was the first Fix where they were available. I was super excited to try these cute flats and Sara created a head to toe look with them that was perfectly my style! I really loved their design , but wish they were a little more comfy. I kept these because they are very stylish and will wear them primarily to work because I do not think they will be comfortable for long walks because of the pointy toes. KEPT!
Box #24 brought me so much JOY! I loved all of the items and think Sara really nailed my style in this one. Also, she provided my first head to toe Stitch Fix look with these shoes and I LOVE it!
