Earlier today I was dancing around in our kitchen while we prepared dinner, and my husband said, “I can really tell it was a Stitch Fix day!” Yeah, it’s really like that when you get a fix that you love! If you read my last review, you probably noticed that I was not thrilled with Stitch Fix #15. Sometimes, that just happens! I’ve been shopping and tried on an armful of clothes I thought were cute at stores, only to walk out empty-handed. So, when I really think about it, Stitch Fix is at least as accurate as I am at picking out items and probably better. I used my experience last month to update my Pinterest board with items that better reflect my taste and what I actually wear. I deleted some beautiful items (mostly short dresses) that I like, but would rarely wear.
I still asked to keep my amazing stylist, Sara, for this fix because SHE ROCKS!!! Sara has sent me some of the best pieces in my closet and I am grateful for her great taste, sweet notes, and attention to detail. This month, Sara did manage to make me dance around the kitchen while cooking dinner, so I cannot wait to show you what was in my box!!
This was one of those times you open your box and just want to let out a squeal! Keep reading and I will tell you why!!
1) Skies Are Blue Cress Lace Inset Top in Fuchsia $48
I usually ask for bright colors in my box and this was right on target. The top fits larger than what I would normally choose, but sizing down was not an option. However, I loved the fit of the Le Lis tank (Stitch Fix #14) with shorts, but returned it because of the color. Fuchsia is a better color for me, so I decided that this was a KEEP! I styled this lovely top with my DL1961 Hillary Skinny Jeans from Stitch Fix #11 , a RocksBox (code for free month of Rocksbox: aprilbff102) Kendra Scott Necklace, and Jack Rogers sandals.
2) Kaya Di Koko Annika Maix Dress in Blue $124
I had never heard of Kaya Di Koko before this Fix, but after doing my research, it seems to be an upscale brand. I was not sure about this dress when I first put it on because up close, the top looked boxy, but I stepped away from the mirror and “WOW!” This is a gorgeous dress and I probably would have passed over it shopping because it is outside my normal comfort zone. The material is incredibly comfortable and the dress can go to work with a cardigan or on a dinner date! This dress was something I definitely wanted to KEEP! I styled this with a vintage Trifari Waterfall Pendant Necklace and Jack Rogers.
3) Pixley Bixby Bird Print Tab Sleeve Blouse $48
This was what made me want to squeal with delight! I have had my eye on this piece for over six months and thought this was a missed opportunity. Recently, I noticed that a few bloggers had received this top in their Fixes, so I pinned it and kept my fingers crossed. Sara really tries to send items off my Pinterest board and I’m so grateful she was able to send this to me! I know it will be a go-to as soon as it starts to cool down. KEEP! I styled this with WHBM leggings, Payless pumps, and a Kendra Scott necklace.
4) Pixley Alsten Bow Strap Blouse $48
This is such a cute top for the summer! I love the red and white stripes and the bow is a cute feminine detail. I paired this with my DL1961 Hillary Skinny Jeans from Stitch Fix #10 and a pair of navy Cole Haan shoes for a casual summer outfit. KEEP!
5) Gilli Ryland Maxi Dress $84
I had requested this dress last time, but it was not available. I also was super excited to see this piece in my box. Sara introduced me to Gilli maxi dresses in Stitch Fix #14 and I have not looked back since. I love that they make short sleeve ones that are work appropriate. Sara worried that this was too similar to my other maxi, but it was different enough for me. Maxi dresses are my go-to summer attire because they look nice at the office and beyond. KEEP!
So, there you have it! My Stitch Fix #16 was filled with keepers! Sara really did a great job and I’m so thankful that she paid close attention to my Pinterest board and sent me items that I LOVE.
