Stitch Fix is an online personal styling service. It is a great way for the busy woman to get fun, stylish clothes delivered to her door each month. To get started, you fill out a personal style survey on their website. It is also helpful to create a Pinterest board with items that you would normally wear or would love to add to your closet. Each month, a stylist will send you five pieces of clothing and accessories for a $20 styling fee. You can try the items on in your own home and see how well they incorporate in your closet. If you keep an item, your $20 styling fee acts as a credit towards your purchase AND if your stylist send you and AMAZING box and you keep it all, you get a 25% discount! I have been doing stitch fix for almost a year. I love the surprise of getting clothing delivered to my door and when I do not like an item, I just slip it into the prepaid mailing envelope and send it back.
I have been with my wonderful stylist, Sara, for 5 fixes now and I have kept 4 of those boxes in their entirety! Needless to say, I LOVE having Sara as my stylist! So, let’s reveal my box of goodies for this month!
1) Kut From The Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean ($78)
I asked for a pair of boyfriend jeans and Sara delivered. In her note, she mentioned that she chose the light wash because we were going into summer even though I had pinned the darker ones on my Pinterest board. I paired these with a vintage gold and pink necklace, floral wedges, and my Olive and Oak peplum top for a laid-back summer look. These jeans fit a little bit larger than other styles would in this brand and at first I thought they were too big, but then I wore them and they were crazy comfortable. Comfortable and sylish…these jeans were KEPT!
2) Gilli Sina V-Neck Printed Maxi Dress ($74)
I received this gorgeous maxi in my fix and I was in love the moment I put it on. It is so soft and comfortable and conservative enough to wear to work, but so beautiful I will not be able to resist wearing it for date night. I think this is one of the best items I have received from Stitch Fix to date. By the way, it was on my Pinterest board. KEPT!
3) Pixley Karolina Spaghetti Strap Polka Dot Dress ($68)
I was a little disappointed to see a short dress in my fix because I specifically asked not to get them in my stylist note. However, I have lots navy polka dot fabric on my Pinterest board, so I think Sara must have decided to take a risk. I prefer items that can function for both work and play. This item seemed too juvenile and a little over the top for my style. I liked the fabric, but nothing else. SENT BACK!
4) Le Lis Teal Green Benito Mix Material Knit Tank ($44)
Every time I wear my denim shorts, I feel like I have on the wrong shirt. This is the type of shirt I’ve been needing for balance. I really liked the style of this top and loved the detailing in the back. I almost kept this, but the color washed me out. It would work better for a girl with warm undertones. I’m hoping that my stylist can send me a similar item in a jewel tone in a future fix. SENT BACK!
5) Pixley Navy Fairchild Seam Detail Top ($54)
From the moment I pulled this item out of the box, I knew it was a keeper. I loved the bright colors and fun pattern. This item looks amazing with my Romolo Starla Ornate Collar Necklace and DL1961 Hillary Skinny Jeans from previous fixes! One of the things I love most about Sara is that she is great at tying the pieces from my previous Stitch Fixes together in unexpected ways!
